About Peyton Pipes
Peyton Pipes is Managing Partner of Koon & Pipes PLLC, where he devotes his practice to helping business owners build, grow, and protect their companies at every stage of the business lifecycle.
Peyton has overseen tens of millions of dollars in transactions and financings, including capital raises, institutional credit facilities, acquisitions, and major exits. His background includes serving as chief legal officer and in-house counsel for operating companies, working directly alongside owners and executives. Having sat on the client's side of the table, he advises the way an owner needs to be advised — with an eye toward capital, risk, and operations, not just the four corners of a contract.
His practice spans capital raises and fund formation, business acquisitions and due diligence, commercial contracts, licensing, federal and state reporting obligations, trademark and copyright matters, regulatory compliance, and internal disputes — pairing transactional counsel with civil litigation capability when disputes arise.
Peyton has represented small and mid-sized businesses across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, home services, construction, real estate, finance, agriculture, food and beverage, alcohol, health care, and life sciences, as well as companies operating in highly regulated markets. He also brings investor-side experience evaluating legal and compliance risk in acquisitions and capital transactions.
Peyton earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and his bachelor's degree from Florida State University.
